Depending on where your salon or barbershop is located, currently it may be mandatory. In spite of conflicting viewpoints and much as we all wish it could be business as usual, many salons & barbershops around the world have been forced to change their way of operating to enable staff to return to work and clients to return for their regular services.

Salons & barbershops have always followed strict sanitization protocols and wearing a face guard or a face mask in the current climate adds to those protocols and creates an environment which instills confidence in staff and clients alike.

For the hair & beauty industry and any industry or person requiring personal protective solutions for prolonged use, the salonguard® face guard and/or face mask enable you to work comfortably with the peace of mind of enhanced protection.

Unlike some styles of face guard which have a gap at the top, the salonguard® face guard fits to the forehead whilst still being comfortable because of its soft foam headband and lightweight construction. The salonguard® face guard can be worn on its own or with the salonguard® face mask.

Disposable masks are single-use and plastic-based and add to the mountain of plastic waste which impacts our planet and our oceans. Additionally, cost per use for a disposable mask is higher without providing any treatments for added protection or comfort.

The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention recommends a 3 layer face mask including a no stretch filter layer and no valves and the salonguard® face mask meets these criteria whilst featuring 4 high-performance Swiss textile treatments from HeiQ with maximum protection and comfort in mind, including the ability to speak at normal volume.

The salonguard® face mask is one size and features 2 horizontal pleats which can be fanned out as little or as much as required to give a customised fit. Use the adjustable nose bar to create a secure fit by moulding it to your nose and face. For a tighter fit, increase tension on the ear loops by knotting as required.

To fully benefit from the HeiQ textile treatments on the salonguard® face mask, wear your mask with the dark grey patented cooling layer facing inwards.

HeiQ is a global leader in textile innovation established in 2005 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. HeiQ treatments are added to fabric during the textile manufacturing process. There are 4 HeiQ treatments on the 3 layers of the salonguard® face mask and you can read about them here.

The HeiQ treatments on the salonguard® face mask are durable for 30 washes at 40˚C. We recommend replacing your mask after 30 washes to continue to benefit from the HeiQ treatments.

The HeiQ treatments on the salonguard® face mask have been independently tested as skin-safe. Additionally, the eco-friendly water repellent on the outer layer is free of per- and poly-fluorinated chemicals (PFC-free).
